Materials and production

    SILVER

The basis of ADDA jewelry is textured sterling silver 925.

    • 925 silver means that the alloy contains 92.5 percent pure silver, and the remaining 7.5 is alloy metals (copper, nickel, zinc, or platinum). Silver jewelry is complemented by gilding, gold and blackening.
    • Gilding is a coating with a thickness of 0.5 - 8 microns layer of gold, applied to the surface of silver using electrolysis.
    • Gold - filled - coating with a thickness of 10 - 120 microns. An important difference between gold field and gilding is the presence of an interlayer between the gold and the base metal.

    STONES

ADDA cooperates with stone suppliers from Israel, China, India, Thailand and other countries. The collections use minerals that are mined for us from rare deposits in the Urals, Transbaikal and the Kola Peninsula. Only natural stones, unenhanced in color, in which their unique beauty is preserved: cabochons and druses.

    • The cabochon is characterized by a smooth convex polished surface without edges. Each cabochon is handcrafted by talented artisans.
    • Drusen is an unprocessed natural formation of an accumulation of crystals on a bedrock.

The origin of the jewelry is revealed by the so-called identification marks . These can be of two types. Each goldsmith or company that manufactures jewelry and is registered at the hallmarking office has its own unique form of brand, which is called manufacturing . If it is an entity that imports or buys the jewelry from abroad and then sells it in the Czech Republic, it does not avoid the hallmarking obligation either. The hallmarking office assigns it a responsibility or import mark.
Eden Gems carries the EDG responsibility mark.

    SILVER JEWELRY
Silver jewelry exceeding the statutory weight of 3 g is marked with the responsibility mark of the importer or Czech manufacturer, the quality mark 925/1000 and is registered by the Stamp Office. The hallmarking office marks the jewelry with a hallmark that guarantees its purity and authenticity.

When choosing jewelry, it is important to pay attention not only to the design, but also to the authenticity, which is declared by hallmarks.
